PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a sound casting integrally containing an insert by coating a material having low wettability to releasing agent on the insert and on cavity surface in the metallic mold. ;SOLUTION: The metallic mold is formed with a first mold 1 and a second mold 2 and a cavity 10 surrounded with cavity surfaces 11, 20 is formed between both molds 1, 2. After coating the material having low wettability to the releasing agent 4 on the insert 3, the insert is set in the metallic mold. The releasing agent 4 is coated on the cavity 10 surface in the metallic mold setting the insert 3, and the excess releasing agent is removed. Since the releasing agent 4 is repelled on the surface of the coating layer 30 on the insert 3 and formed as granular state, this agent is easily removed. Then, molten metal is cast so as to fill up into the cavity 10. By this method, the cycle time of the casting can be shortened and the productivity is improved and the production cost can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
