PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce tower top displacement of an intermediate tower by far without increasing construction cost of a multispan suspension bridges, mitigate load conditions of the intermediate tower markedly to reduce bending moment of a tower basic part and prevent an increase of size of the intermediate tower, and reduce bending of a reinforcing rigid beam between intermediate supports.;SOLUTION: A tower top displacement suppression type multispan suspension bridge consists mainly of a pair of side towers 2, one intermediate tower 3, two main cables 5, many hangers 5a, and four reinforcing rigid beams 7, and four reinforcing rigid beam 7 are connected by a connection member 7c so as to transmit a load in the direction of bridge axis. End parts on both bank sides of these reinforcing rigid beams 7 are connected with an anchorage 4 by an oil damper 8, and a central part between supports of the main cable is connected with the reinforcing rigid beam 7 between intermediate supports so as to transmit a load in the direction of bridge axis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
