FEED ADDITIVE CONTAINING ENZYME-TREATED PRODUCT OF FAGOPYRUM TATARICUM (L.) GAERTN AND FEED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-disease feed additive which is useful for preventing and treating domestic animal or fowl stresses generated under environments for feeding many domestic animals or many fowls or diseases originated from pathogenic bacteria, and can reduce the lowering of productivity due to inflammatory actions caused by the pathogenic bacteria. SOLUTION: This anti-disease feed additive containing an enzyme-treated product having a high quercetin content, obtained by adding water to Fagopyrum tataricum (L.) Gaertn in an amount of 3 to 10 times and then subjecting the mixture to a self enzymatic treatment at pH 3 to 3.5 for 25 to 40 deg.C, and a feed containing the feed additive added thereto. The feed can reduce the lowering of productivity due to inflammatory actions caused by pathogenic bacteria, is not liable to cause the appearance of bacteria resistant to medicines, and gives safe livestock products not contaminated with the medicine.
