PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove phosphoric acid continuously over a long period by a safe method by treating humus volcanic ash soil as a base is treated with an acid and an alkaline earth metal and producing an absorption removing material of water soluble phosphoric acid by combining obtained raw materials. ;SOLUTION: Humus volcanic ash soil as a raw material, is subjected to acid/alkali treatment, and an absorption removing material of water soluble phosphoric acid comprising an acidic phosphoric acid removing filter medium and a basic phosphoric acid removing filter medium is produced. Namely, the acidic filter medium is produced by adding a dilute acid such as dilute sulfuric acid to the humus soil of 1,000-3,000 phosphoric acid absorption coefficient and adjusting pH at 1-6.5 to make the whole materials uniform. The basic filter medium is produced by mixing lime such as calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide with the soil and adjusting pH at 6.5-11 to make the whole materials uniform. The filter media are combined and packed in cartridges 1, 2 opposite to water flows in the lateral and longitudinal directions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
