PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long balloon capable of sufficiently extending not only a peripheral side narrowing site but also a base end side narrowing site without displacing the balloon at its narrowing site and reducing a renarrowing rate and a balloon catheter having the long balloon by preventing a corona dissociation due to hyperextension in the case of extending a diffuse narrowing site. SOLUTION: The long balloon comprises connecting parts 1B, 1B' connected to a catheter, an operating part 1A for extending and treating a lesion site, and transfer parts 1C, 1C' partitioned by the parts 1B, 1B' and the part 1A. In this case, an outer peripheral surface of the part 1A having an axial length L of 20 mm to 55 mm has a profile shape gradually radially decreasing toward a distal direction.
