LOWER LIMB INJURY PREVENTION DEVICE FOR MOUNTING ON SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent injury of lower limbs from occupants' slippping off forward from a seat cushion in a vehicle collision by pushing up the seat cushion from a bottom. ;SOLUTION: A nearly U-shaped kick up bar 1 swinging to push up a seat cushion from a bottom, a pre-tensioner 2 swinging and rotating the kick up bar 1 obliquely upward in response to an impact sensor command, pulley pieces 3a, 3b winding a tension wire 21 stretched from the pre-tension 2 fixed at an axle end side part of the kick up bar 1 in a body and holding an ened of the tension wire 21 and base brackets 4a, 4b rotatably supporting the pulley pieces 3a, 3b through bearings are provided. The base brackets 4a, 4b are put to a side frame of a seat cushion frame and are attached to the bottom of the seat cushion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
