PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porphyrin compound derivative molecule having a developed structure for improving an enlarged π electron network and length of nonlocalization of electron. ;SOLUTION: This condensed porphyrin compound comprises porphyrin compounds which are adjoined by three bonds of a meso-meso carbon bond of two or more porphyrin rings mutually bonded by each a meso-position carbon and two β-β carbon bonds of two mutually bonded β-position carbons adjacent to the meso-position carbons and which are extended in one direction. The condensed porphyrin compound is coordinated with a metal selected from the group of metal atoms consisting of Mg, CA, Sr, Ba, Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Th, U, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Tc, Re, Fe, Ru, Os, Co, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pt, Cu, Ab, Au, Cd, Hg, Al, Ga, In, Tl, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, As, Sb and Bi or is a metal-free porphyrin compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
