PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing propylene-ethylene random copolymer that can give film having reduced stickiness and excellent low-temperature heat-sealing properties and impact resistance. ;SOLUTION: Propylene and ethylene are copolymerized in the presence of an olefin-polymerization catalyst that comprises (A) the preliminary polymerization catalyst that is prepared by allowing olefins to contact with each other in the presence of (a) the solid catalyst components including titanium, magnesium, halogen and an electron-donating compound, (b) an organometal compound and (c) an organosilicon compound bearing Si-O-C bond; (B) an organometallic compound; and (C) an organosilicon compound represented by the following general formula (1) (wherein R1 is a 3-12C alicyclic hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 3-20C branched hydrocarbon group; R3 is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group) other than (c).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
