摘要

PURPOSE: To inspect an object for its shape by detecting the crosssectional contour of the object. ;CONSTITUTION: A soldered section 12 which is an object to be inspected is irradiated with slit light rays 311 and 312 which are projected upon the object from two directions so that the horizontal cross sections of the light rays 311 and 312 can cross each other at right angles and only one of the images of reflected slit light rays from the object is selectively picked up from each prescribed direction. Based on the taken picture of each reflected slit light, the positions of the external sizes of the cross sections of the two kinds of the slit light rays in their irradiating direction are found and the contour of the object is recognized from the external size information. By comparing each calculated contour data with the two cross-sectional shape information of the object set in advance in corresponding to the contour data, the propriety of the shape of the object is discriminated depending upon the difference between the two pieces of information which must be within a tolerance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
