PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely estimate spectral reflectivity and to match the actual color of color printer output and a color reproduced by a monitor by considering an optical phenomenon peculiar to color printer output. SOLUTION: A coefficient calculation part 44 calculates coefficients which are associated with the spectral reflectivity of three reference color chips and show the color characteristics of output from a color printer based on the spectral reflectivity of the color chips for respective sides except for a side where a black dot area rate is 100% ad a side showing black gradation. A spectral reflectivity calculation part 46 calculates spectral reflectivity corresponding to an arbitrary dot area rate on the side based on the coefficient calculated by the coefficient calculation part 44 and calculates spectral reflectivity with the arbitrary dot area rate on the side where the clack dot area rate is 100% based on the spectral reflectivity of the color chip.
