PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method of producing an aromatic polyamide fiber paper capable of solving conventional technical problems, having a very small dimensional change in atmosphere with repeated high and low temperatures or in an atmosphere involving moisture absorption and desorption and capable of giving composite laminates machinable in terms of drilling, cutting and laser processing when used as a reinforcing fiber for such composite laminates. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises making the paper using an aromatic polyamide fiber obtained by imparting heat history, having apparent crystal size calculated by Scherrer's formula based on the diffraction intensity curve determined by wide angle X-ray diffraction and simultaneously satisfying (1) to (3) shown below and having -1.0×10-6/°C to -7.50×10-6/°C temperature linear expansion coefficient: (1) ≥75 angstrom crystal size (A) of 110 plane, (2) ≥82 angstrom crystal size (B) of 200 plane and (3) A×B is 6,150-63,000.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
