PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity-controlling finish coating material capable of forming a thick coating and concurrently exhibiting very high humidity- controlling performance and also to provide a humidity-controlling building material finished with the coating material.;SOLUTION: The preparation process of this finish coating material comprises: blending 25 pts.wt. of slaked lime, 25 pts.wt. of Kanuma clay (a kind of allophane, distributed in the northern Kanto area of Japan), 50 pts.wt. of sand, 1 pts.wt. of methylcellulose and 0.5 pts.wt. of aluminum stearate together to obtain a blend; further adding water to the blend; and kneading the resulting mixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
