FLOCCULATING TREATMENT METHOD AND DEVICE IN CITY WATER TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculating treatment method and device in city water treatment by which flocks having excellent sedimentation property are formed, though a use quantity of a polymer is less, a high speed of solid-liquid separation is realized and the problem of residual monomer is solved.;SOLUTION: In this flocculating treatment method of water treatment, raw water for flocculation treatment is mixed with a ferric chloride aqueous solution dissolved with guar gum, then is mixed with a synthetic organic polymer flocculant and is agitated to form flocks. When the ferric chloride aqueous solution dissolved with guar gum is added, a rapid agitation is performed. When the synthetic organic polymer flocculant is added, a rapid agitation is preferably performed and subsequently a slow agitation is preferably performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
