PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material for forming a biodegradable coating film and a water-soluble or a water absorbing solid substance having the biodegradable coating film. ;SOLUTION: This material for forming a biodegradable coating film comprises a polyurethane prepolymer obtained by carrying out a prepolycondensation reaction of a polyhydric alcohol containing molasses and/or a saccharide compound with a polyisocyanate. The water-soluble solid substance having the biodegradable coating film comprises a substance prepared by forming the biodegradable polyurethane coating film in at least a part of the surface of a water-soluble or a water absorbing solid substance and the biodegradable polyurethane coating film is formed by using the material for forming the coating film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
