PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based antifogging agent that can be uniformly applied to the glass and can retain the good antifogging effect for a long period of time and provide the application method for antifogging by using the antifogging agent.;SOLUTION: This antifogging agent mainly comprises an aliphatic hydrocarbon sulfate salt, a silicon compound and water, in which the aliphatic hydrocarbon sulfate salt is a sodium salt of hydrocarbon sulfate of 1-20 carbon atoms, the silicon compound is one kind or two or more kinds of coating layer components selected from a cyclic silicone, silanol-terminal oligomer, mixed silicon hydrolyzate, silicone alkoxide, tetraalkoxysilane, alkylalkoxysilane and siloxane. This antifogging agent is applied to the glass surface, the coated face is wiped with a moist wiping tool, then the silicone solution is used to effect modification application of the uncoated faces and the coated layer is repetitively wiped with dried wipers to finish the antifogging treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
