METHOD FOR CORRECTING UNIFORMITY OF TIRE AFTER CURING, AND TIRE WHOSE UNIFORMITY CAN BE CORRECTED AFTER CURING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct one or more uniformity properties of tire. SOLUTION: The tire 800 has two beads 802a, 802b and a carcass reinforcing ply 820 with a reinforcing cord 821. The method for correcting the uniformity properties of the tire 800 comprises the steps (A) of forming a part of the tire using a material (normally, a thermoplastic material) which enables alternately changing the respective directions of the reinforcing cord 821 and restricting the change and is made plastic by (heating or the like) and is made non-plastic by (cooling or the like), (B) plasticizing the material after the tire is at least partially vulcanized so that the direction of the reinforcing cord 821 is changeable, (C) changing the direction of the reinforcing cord 821 against the other reinforcing cord and (D) making the material non-plastic so as to prevent the direction of the adjacent reinforcing cord from being further changed. The direction of the cord 821 can be changed without stretching it beyond its elastic limit.
