INVERSE APERTURE SYNTHESIS RADAR APPARATUS AND TARGET DISCRIMINATION METHOD USING INVERSE APERTURE SYNTHESIS RADAR IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ISAR apparatus, capable of accurately discriminating a target by extracting the length of a target structure from an ISAR image for and setting the same to a discrimination parameter. SOLUTION: The total length of a target and the sized of a plurality of structures are extracted from the ISAR image, obtained from a radar receiver. The data (total length or the sizes of structures), related to a plurality of target shape models, are stored preliminarily in a data base memory part as discrimination parameters. On the basis of the total length of the target or the size of the structure and the total length of the target shape model or the size of the structure, the coincidence rate of the target and the target shape model is calculated, and the target is discriminated on the basis of the calculated result.
