PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, capable of enhancing effects of a pharmacodynamically effective ingredient, having high safety, excellent in alimentary canal mucosal adhesion and useful as a therapeutic agent, etc., for gastric and duodenal ulcers by formulating an anti-Helicobacter pylori agent, etc., with a swelling agent which is a substance capable of causing the viscosity with water. ;SOLUTION: This alimentary canal mucosal adhesive anti-Helicobacter pylori agent composition is obtained by including (A) 10-50 wt.% of an anti- Helicobacter pylori agent which is a pharmacodynamically effective ingredient [e.g. amoxicillin or N-(diaminophosphinyl)-5-methyl-2thiophenecarboxamide], (B) 0.5-45 wt.% of a swelling agent which is a substance capable of causing the viscosity with water (e.g. curdlan or as low-substitution degree hydroxypropyl cellulose) and (C) 20-95 wt.% of a polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid [e.g. behenic acid hexa(tetra)glyceride] and/or a lipid (e.g. a hardened castor oil).
