PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable manufacturing method for a martensitic stainless steel seamless pipe that has an internal surface of excellent resistance to rust irrespective of removal of mill scale. ;SOLUTION: After reheating stainless steel, a fixed radius drawing/rolling mill draws the seamless pipe under the condition satisfying '0.0017T-0.2≤λ≤0.012T-7.0', while the mill tempers the stainless steel under an environment of 500 to 700°C containing 10-30 vol.% steams. T is a pipe temperature 700 to 1,000°C within the drawing/rolling mill. λ is elongation ratio L/L0 where L (m) is a length of rolled pipe and L0 (m) is the length of pipe before the mill draws the constant radius pipes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
