PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data retrieval method which can easily retrieve the image data with no complicated input operation required, to provide a data retrieval system, to provide an image display method which can display the easy-to-see images, to provide an image editing method which can easily edit images and also to provide a computer readable storage medium. ;SOLUTION: When the image data stored in a data base are retrieved according to the feature value that is stored in response to each of image data, the personal information on a specific person is compared with the feature value for retrieving an image on a time base. Thereby an mage (an object, for example) that is related with the specific person can be specified just by inputting the personal information (the name, the date of birth, etc., of the specific person) and without knowing the file name of the image data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
