PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an industrial antimicrobial agent composition useful as papermaking process water in the paper pulp industry, cooling water or washing water for various industries, preservation and sterilization of heavy oil sludges, metalworking fluids, textile oils, paints, coating liquids for paper, sizing agents, etc., capable of exhibiting effects even on dispersed microorganisms in water and slimes on wall surfaces for a long period and to provide an industrial antimicrobial method.;SOLUTION: This industrial antimicrobial agent composition comprises (A) an isothazolone compound, (B) a bromoacetic acid compound, and (C) a nitroalcohol. The industrial antimicrobial method comprises adding the compounds so that the ratio of the isothiazolone compound (A) to the bromoacetic acid compound (B) is (1:10) to (100:1) (weight ratio), the ratio of the total amount of the isothiazolone compound (A) and the bromoacetic acid (B) to the nitroalcohol compound (C) is (1:10) to (20:1) (weight ratio) and the total concentration of the isothiazolone compound (A), bromoacetic acid compound (B) and the nitroalcohol compound (C) is 0.1-1,000 mg/L.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
