PURPOSE: To provide a check valve for preventing liquid leakage that is simple in structure without requiring a driving means, and to provide a container for pouring employing the check valve of this type. ;CONSTITUTION: In a check valve 6 composed of a valve case 3 having a suction port 1 and a discharge port 2, a valve plug 4 moving in reciprocation inside the valve case, and a valve seat 5 contacting the outer circumference of the valve plug, an extended part 3a is provided to the upper part of the valve case 3 while a cylindrical part 3b-3c is provided, extending over a specified length with a slight distance kept from the outer circumference of the valve plug, to the lower part of the valve case 3. Liquid remaining in the discharge port 2 is partially sucked into the inside of the valve case 3 by return motion of the valve plug 4, and the surface of the liquid in the discharge port is retreated to the inner side, and thereby leakage of liquid is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
