PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a plant with heavy oil-based foulings sticking thereto by which the heavy oil-based foulings can efficiently be removed in a short time according to simple operations without disassembling the plant, the cleaning cost can be reduced and even cleaning waste liquors can be reutilized.;SOLUTION: A cleaning agent comprising a mixed solvent of a light oil such as a kerosene, a gas oil or a light cycle oil(LCO) with a high-boiling aromatic solvent such as a ≥9C alkylbenzene is introduced into the plant with the heavy oil-based foulings sticking thereto to dissolve and remove the heavy oil-based foulings.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
