SHADOW MASK, SHADOW MASK WEB, AND MANUFACTURE OF THE SHADOW MASK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shadow mask, a shadow mask web, and a shadow mask manufacturing method without having possibility of removal of foreign matters in installing the shadow mask on a cathode-ray tube. ;SOLUTION: This shadow mask web 1 comprises a shadow mask 2, having an outer circumferential line 4 formed by etching, and an outer frame part 3 for holding the shadow mask 2 by plural connection parts 5. In this case, a half-etched breakage part is formed on the shadow mask side of the connection parts 5 and at an inner position of the outer circumferential line 4. In the shadow mask 2 obtained by removing the outer frame part 3 from the shadow mask web 1, the breakage part is formed recessed on the inner side of the outer circumferential line 4 of the obtained shadow mask 2. The shadow mask 2 can be manufactured easily by removing the outer frame part 3 of the shadow mask web 1 by folding, pulling, or tearing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
