PURPOSE: To monitor corrosion owing to the tower top system fluid of column still or the side reflux fluid by controlling the temperature at each monitoring part arbitrarily and to sample the continuous condensate and sequential condensate by moving a corrosion meter up and down at the liquid phase part. ;CONSTITUTION: In the system for monitoring the corrosiveness of tower top system fluid, a substantially horizontal monitor pipe 1 for passing a tower top system fluid sampled from an actual system part is divided into a plurality of monitoring sections provided, respectively, with a thermometer 7, a corrosion meter 8 at gas phase part and a corrosion meter 9 at liquid phase part. Each monitoring section is provided with a cooling water tank 2 and the temperature of each cooling water can be regulated independently from the current velocity. The corrosion meter 8 at gas phase part can be moved up and down and the condensate of fluid is collected in the space produced when the corrosion meter 9 at liquid phase part is lowered.
