PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the execution of unsuitable processing by making a user confirm processing to electronic mail.;SOLUTION: A client device transmits/receives electronic mail through a network by a communication unit 26. The electronic mail to be transmitted/ received is stored on a RAM 24 or storage device 22. A CPU 20 executes various kinds of processing to the electronic mail, which is the object of transmitting/receiving, from an input device 29 corresponding to the input of an instruction for each of processing but when the executing instruction of processing is inputted, it is confirmed on the basis of the contents of the mail text of the electronic mail whether or not the execution of processing corresponding to the inputted instruction is unsuitable and when it is unsuitable, such a state is reported to the user and confirmed by displaying a message on a display device 28 or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
