PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which generation of events in neurons in the brain is detected with high accuracy in time and simultaneously generated events in neurons are discriminated. SOLUTION: According to an embodiment of practice shown as an example, two or more stimuli are selected and they are given to a subject at timely separated intervals. Each stimulus generates an event in a neuron in the brain of the subject and, when two events in the neurons are simultaneously generated at a same place, these are interfered and this interference is clarified by a physiological effect different from a physiological effect generated only by the event in either of the neurons. When the interference is detected, the time interval between the first stimulus and the second stimulus can be compared with a nominal range. When the time interval is out of the nominal range, it is suggested that a pathological condition could exist.
