PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stably operated deionized water making technique for making deionized water from water to be treated containing a hardness component without generating the build-up of voltage during long-term operation and generating the lowering of specific resistance in made deionized water.;SOLUTION: A porous anion exchanger bed of which the porosity is 20-95%, the maximum pore size is 0.01-500 μm and the thickness is five times the maximum pore size and 10 μm-100 μm is arranged on the anode side of the anion exchange membrane of an electric regeneration type deionizing apparatus to prevent the precipitation and accumulation of a hardness component on the surface of the anion exchange membrane on its anode side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
