PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an accelerating cavity small and inexpensive and to facilitate the adjustment of an accelerating particle orbit by installing a deflecting magnet pair having different magnet field intensities and the same magnetic field polarities, oppositely arranged on the opposite sides of the accelerating cavity between a resonator shell and an accelerating electrode and using the accelerating particle orbit as an orbit attended with precession, and an accelerating gap where the whole linear part of the accelerating particle orbit is passed.;SOLUTION: Electron beams from an electron gun 4, when they are accelerated in an accelerating gap 3 within an accelerating cavity 1a, are deflected 180° right and left with a right deflecting magnet 6 and a left deflecting magnet 6 having stronger magnetic field intensity than the right deflecting magnet 6, and uniform magnetic field distribution. An electron beam orbit 17 is sufficiently separated from an electron incident orbit 5 and attended with precession, and ratio of the length of the accelerating cavity 1a to the number of orbits is small. Since the right of the deflection magnet 6 is larger than left, taking out beams are easily taken out without installing specific structure, and by adjusting right and left opposing distances, the whole length of one round of the accelerating particle orbit 17 is increased to decrease phase shift.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
