PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a complex digital signal (IQ signal) intermittently and non-periodically to estimate a coming-in direction of a radio wave even when analysis times for signal processing are dispersed. ;SOLUTION: An IQ generating part 105 makes a sampling frequency brought into 4N times or 4N/3 times that of an intermediate frequency signal based on an indication of an azimuth estimating part 106 using a received digital signal provided by an A/D conversion part 103, and generates the complex digital (IQ signal) intermittently and non-periodically in timing when calculation for signal processing is finished, using two values provided in (N-1) sample periods (where N is a natural number). The azimuth estimating part 106 estimates the comming-in direction of the received radio wave using an I-signal and a Q-signal output from the IQ generating part 105.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
