PURPOSE: To obtain the subject yarn which is ultrafine polyester false twisted yarn, excellent in surface effects and having soft hand by the alternate presence of lateral-striped crimped parts and deep dyeable randomly crimped parts in the longitudinal direction of yarn without any difference in size between both the parts in the longitudinal direction of the yarn. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective yarn is polyester false twisted yarn obtained by initially forming local parts having an increased birefringence ratio and density in highly oriented undrawn yarn having ≤0.8 denier single fiber size and 20×10-3 to 80×10-3 birefringence ratio without remarkably changing the orientation in the longitudinal direction, intermittently applying water without drawing the yarn, heat-treating the yarn and then carrying out draw false twist texturing. The resultant yarn has alternately present lateral-striped crimped parts and deeper dyeable randomly crimped parts than the lateral-striped crimped parts in the longitudinal direction of the yarn.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
