PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of the probe cover and surely fix it to the probe by providing one or more recess parts or projection parts locked to a lock part provided on the surface of the probe in the inside face of the side part. SOLUTION: When a probe 52 is inserted into a probe cover 1, a lock part 103 provided on the surface of the probe 52 and a projection provided in the inside face of the side part 13 of the probe cover 1 are surely secured. That is to say, according to the shape of the lock part 103 provided on the surface of the probe 52, at lease one or more projections are provided in the inside face of the side part 13 of the probe cover 1. Such constitution can increase the elastic force of the projection part provided in the inside face of the side part 13 of the probe cover 1 and surly fix the probe cover 1 to the probe 52. Among the materials of the probe cover 1 are polymer resin materials such as silicone resin having sufficient strength such as polyethylene.
