PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the machining precision of a free curved surface by forming a guide member with a coagulant into the extended face shape of the curved surface of the base of a die having the curved surface for the base of a free curved surface. ;SOLUTION: A coagulant 24 is injected into the gap between a penetrating die piece member 2 and a frame member 22 then coagulated. When the frame member 22 is removed after the coagulation of the coagulant 24, the coagulant 24 is adhered and fixed to the die piece member 2 to become a guide member 26 at polish machining in a post-process, then the die piece member 2 fixed with the guide member 26 is fitted to a polishing machine, and a polishing tool 28 is moved and operated on the moving locus of a prescribed free curved surface. The moving locus region of the polishing tool 28 is larger than the area of the free curved surface before the machining of the die piece member 2 to be machined, and the polishing tool 28 is moved and operated over the area of the portion of the guide member 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
