PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for scanning a subject 22 by a multi-slice type CT imaging system 10 having a plurality of detector 18 lines each having an isocenter.;SOLUTION: The subject is helically scanned by the multi-slice type CT imaging system so that data segments 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64 including circumferential data segments 56, 58 are obtained. Then, data from the first circumferential data segment 56 is synthesized with the opposite-side second circumferential segment 58 so that a data set for restructuring an image slice is formed.
