PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent giving sense of uneasiness by preventing unnecessary alarm processings due to inrush current from being performed.;SOLUTION: Load current supplied to a load apparatus 3 is measured by a current detector 205. If this load current is not smaller than a first current value, a main control unit 206 switches power supply to a load apparatus 3 over to bypass feeding by an AC switch 204 after that and compares the load current with a second current value larger than the first one. If this load current is larger than the second current value, the control unit 206 causes an alarm circuit 208 to issue an alarm, which represents an overcurrent state, along with stopping power supply to the load apparatus 3. If this load current is smaller than the second current value, the load current is remeasured after the passage of a fixed time, and if this load current is not smaller than the first current value, alarm processing is performed along with stopping power supply to the load apparatus 3. If it is smaller than the first current value, power supply to the load apparatus 3 is switched to supply from an inverter 203 by an AC switch 204.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
