PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the fluorescent substance capable of improving light flux sustainability of a rapid starting type fluorescent lamp by suppressing the fluorescent film from yellowing and the EC film from darkening without impairing the startup characteristics or the like of the lamp. ;SOLUTION: This fluorescent substance is obtained by sticking the particle surface of a host fluorescent substance consisting of a fluorescent substance for fluorescent lamps such as a three-wavelength emission-type fluorescent substance with ZnO:Zn microparticles at e.g. 0.01-5.0 mass % based on the host fluorescent substance. The other objective rapid-starting-type fluorescent lamp has a glass bulb 1 encapsulated with an electrically discharging gas, an transparent electroconductive film lined on the inner surface of the bulb 1, a fluorescent film 2 provided on the transparent electroconductive film, and electrode sealing elements 4 having respective electrode constructs set up on both ends of the glass bulb 1; wherein the fluorescent film 2 is composed of the above fluorescent substance stuck with ZnO:Zn microparticles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
