PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an expression data control system capable of promptly and exactly controlling various expressions even when difference between respective expressions becomes subtle. SOLUTION: A terminal displays icons 111,... to indicate motions/states on an icon palette 110 in relation to the expression data such as animation, sounds or character strings. In addition, a control input area 120 capable of mixingly displaying an icon 121 and a character string 122 is provided on a display screen of the terminal, a user selects the icon 111 from the icon palette 110, inputs the icon 121 and simultaneously inputs the character string 122 from a keyboard, etc. The terminal controls the motions/states of the present character to be displayed on an animation display area 100a according to the icon 121 and displays the character string 122 to be placed immediately after the icon 121 as synchronizing it with the animation of the present character based on an inputted result.
