PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems in deterioration of surface grade due to the occurrence of pilling in knitted or woven fabrics comprising spun yarns of polyester staple fibers when wearing the fabric and to obtain a spun yarn and a knitted or a woven fabric maintaining the strength physical properties, excellent in pilling resistance and further having body, stiffness, repulsion, a touch feeling, a lightweight feeling and heat retaining properties in combination. ;SOLUTION: This spun yarn comprises a polymer prepared by blending a homopolyester (polymer A) with a copolyester (polymer B) in a ratio of A:B within the range of (20:80) to (80:20) expressed in terms of weight ratio, contains ≥30 wt.% of hollow composite polyester staple fibers having 10-30% percentage or hollowness and is twisted at 2.5-4.5 twist multiplier (the cotton system).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
