WET FASTNESS IMPROVER FOR POLYAMIDE FIBER AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING WET FASTNESS OF POLYAMIDE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject wet fastness improver causing slight discoloration of objects treated therewith, capable of giving objects high wet fastness and enabling treatment process therewith to be simplified without using tartar emetic harmful to environment and human health. ;SOLUTION: This wet fastness improver, a treatment agent to be used together with tannic acid and/or synthetic tannin in treating polyamide textile fibers, comprises an N-vinylformamide homopolymer or a copolymer produced by copolymerization between ≥30 wt.% of N-vinylformamide and ≤70 wt.% of a vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith. The other objective method for improving the wet fastness of polyamide textile fibers comprises treating the polyamide textile fibers with the above improver together with tannic acid and/or synthetic tannin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
