PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a barrier-free wooden house which is easy to construct and which has essentially no difference in height between the floor part of a Japanese style room and the floor part of a Western-style room; and a floor structure of a room in a wooden house. ;SOLUTION: The floor part 6 of a Western-style room in a wooden building comprises either a positioning plate 9 laid on a floor joist 8 disposed on a sleeper 7 or a wooden floor panel directly laid on the sleeper, a heat insulating material 1a for the floor of the Western-style room, with a screwable material 14 fitted into a recessed part laid on the positioning plate or wooden floor panel, and flooring 16 laid on the heat insulating material for the floor of the room. To construct the floor part of the room in the wooden house, either the positioning plate is disposed on the floor joist on the sleeper or the wooden floor panel is directly laid on the sleeper, and the heat insulating material with grooves formed at predetermined intervals to one another is laid thereon, after which the screwable material is inserted into the groove and screwed to the positioning plate.
