ELECTROCHEMICAL DETECTOR FOR CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical detector, for capillary electrophoresis, by which a high-accuracy analysis can be performed and to provide its manufacturing method. ;SOLUTION: An electrochemical cell which is composed of one or a plurality of working electrodes 81, reference electrodes 82 and counter electrodes 83 is formed inside a capillary flow passage 7 which forms an electrophoretic operation. Conductors 9 are formed on the upstream side and the downstream side of the capillary flow passage in the electrochemical cell. Conductors of both are connected electrically. The upstream side and the downstream side are set to be equipotential. In addition, in this manufacturing method, the detector can be manufactured simply. Furthermore, the part of the electrochemical cell can be made equipotential even during the electrophoretic operation, the influence of an electric field is suppressed, and an electrochemical measurement can be performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
