METHOD OF SURFACE TREATING AGGREGATE FOR PAVING AND PAVING METHOD USING SURFACE TREATED AGGREGATE THEREBY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enhancing the adhesion strength between a moisture-curable polyurethane resin and aggregate to inhibit falling off of the aggregate after paving in paving by using the resin as the binder. ;SOLUTION: In paving by using aggregate whose major component is silicon dioxide to bond it with a moisture-curable urethane resin for paving, before the step of kneading the aggregate and the resin, the aggregate is subjected to surface treatment comprising a step of mixing the aggregate with a silane coupling agent to effect heat treatment and a step of mixing the heat treated aggregate with a polyol and drying it. Use of the aggregate after this treatment in paving extremely enhances the adhesion strength to the urethane resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
