PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an O-phase Ti-22Al-27Nb alloy having well balanced tensile strength and ductility, and to provide its production method. ;SOLUTION: The alloy is rolled in an α2+β2 phase temperature region of βtransformation temperature or below, then is held to the same temperature region and is slowly cooled at the cooling rate of ≤1°C/sec to form a bi-modal structure composed of a lamellar structure in which an acicular O phase is precipitated into a β phase matrix and an equi-axed α2 phase uniformly dispersed and precipitated into the β phase matrix.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
