PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a hot dip aluminized steel sheet using an aluminizing original sheet more inexpensive than stainless steel and improved in high temperature oxidation resistance by an addition of Al. ;SOLUTION: This hot dip aluminized steel sheet is a steel sheet having a fundamental composition containing, ≤0.01% C, 0.01 to 2.0% Si, 0.05 to 2.5% Mn, ≤0.02% P, 1 to 10% Al, ≤0.010% S and ≤0.010% N and, if necessary, a hot dip aluminized layer is formed on an Fe preplated layer. In the case one or more kinds of metals selected from Ti, Nb, Mo and V of 0.01 to 0.3% in total are added to the fundamental composition, its high temperature strength is further improved, and, in the case one or more kinds of rare earths selected from La, Ce, Nd and Y of 0.01 to 0.2% in total or 1 to 8% Cr is added thereto, its high temperature oxidation resistance is moreover improved. Its secondary cracks at press working can be prevented by the addition of 0.0002 to 0.002% B. In this way, the steel sheet exhibits high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature strength so as to sufficiently be to used in a high temperature atmosphere of ≥850°C, and its workability is also excellent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
