PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piece of western style Kimono (Japanese clothing) which is made through reforming an old Kimono in stock, making it possible for the wearer to easily do fitting processes of a Kimono without other's help in daily life, and also enabling the wearer to dress the Kimono tailored-up as a piece of western style clothing through the same way as that for western style clothing with no need for putting tightly on an Obi (sash). ;SOLUTION: This piece of western style Kimono is tailored through the following processes: folding a fabric back at the shoulder parts thereof to form a front body and a back body, setting respective parts to right and left positions to sew the overlapped sections of the back body parts, sewing the front body part and the back body part together except an armhole part, and sewing each gusset to the corresponding portion of the front body, wherein a bottom sleeve 2 provided with a tuck 4 on a cuff 3 is sewn to the corresponding armhole, collars 5 and 6 each formed so as to be shorter than usual one and longer than its same-colored neckband are sewn to the corresponding parts of the front body and the back body, a cut part 7 is formed at the tip of the left collar, and also a long right fastening string 8 is attached to the right collar 5 and a short left fastening string 9 is attached to the left collar 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
