METHOD FOR DYEING BLEND PRODUCT OF POLYPROPYLENE TEREPHTHALATE FIBER AND OTHER FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dye a blend product of polypropylene terephthalate(PPT) fiber and other fiber(s) with high color developability of the PPT fiber, slight decline in fiber physical properties and low environmental pollution by exhaustion dyeing of the blend product at a specific temperature under pressure in the absence of any carrier. ;SOLUTION: A blend product of polypropylene terephthalalte(PPT) fiber and other fiber(s) is subjected to exhaustion dyeing at 105-120°C under pressure in the absence of any carrier, wherein it is preferable that the blend product comprises conjugate fiber with crimp potential containing 20-80 wt.% of PPT component, and a dyeing machine to be used for the exhaustion dyeing operation is a liquid dyeing machine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
