PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cerebral magnetic field measuring system with simple arrangement and easily manufacturable, and a finger input device for use therewith. ;SOLUTION: This finger input device 10A includes a hemispherical base 1a made of plastic foam, a rubber bush 2 fitted into a hole in the base 1a, and a receiving optical fiber 3r and an illuminating optical fiber 3t with their respective ends held by the rubber bush 2. When a subject's finger is holding the rubber bush 2, light emitted from the end face of the illuminating optical fiber 3t and reflected by the finger impinges on the end face of the receiving optical fiber 3r, so that a light receiving element 5 outputs a relatively high voltage. When the subject's finger is away from the rubber bush 2, a relatively low voltage is output. A signal comparison circuit 7 compares the voltage output by the light receiving element 5 with a threshold voltage and outputs '1' when the voltage output by the light receiving element 5 is higher than the threshold voltage; when the voltage output is lower than the threshold voltage, it outputs '0'.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
