PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for setting selling price for auction and a recording medium recording selling price setting program, with which the selling price of an article for sale can be set into proper price suited for the article for sale. ;SOLUTION: Concerning the selling price setting device for auction, with which plural consumers (An) present desired buying prices of a used car and the selling price of the used car is set based on the desired buying prices, this device is provided with an interface 1 for inputting the consumer information of the consumers (An) or desired buying prices presented from the consumers to the used car, consumer information storage part 4, desired buying price storage part 5 for storing the consumer information and the desired buying prices, and arithmetic part 3 for setting the selling price of the used car. That arithmetic part 3 calculates the mean value of the desired buying prices stored in the storage means 5 based on the desired buying prices and sets the desired buying price close to that mean value as the selling price.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
