MODEM MIXING MODE OPERATING METHOD FOR DSL SYSTEM OPERATING UNDER TCM-ISDN, MODEM AND COMPUTER USABLE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high rate in incoming-side data transfer, while minimizing interferences to conventional service by including the transmitter of a local modem following a bit map mode suited to FEXT environment and the receiver of the local modem following a bit map mode suited to both of the FEXT environment and NEXT environment.;SOLUTION: A TCM-DSL modem 10 consists of a transmitter 90 of a local modem, an analog front end 44, a hybrid circuit 91, a clock control unit 98 and a receiver 92 of the local modem. Then, in this mixing mode operation method, the transmitter 90 of the local modem transmits data to a remote modem by an FEXT symbol, in accordance with the bit map mode suited to the FEXT environment. The receiver 92 of the local modem receives data from the remote modem by both the FEXT and TEXT symbols in accordance with the bit map mode suited to both the FEXT environment and the TEXT environment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
