PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make manageable the relation between object instances when relevant all information is included in the state of elements in one stream between two object instance streams capable of having a specified relation between elements. ;SOLUTION: In a system provided with an object for expressing and updating a relation R when prescribed first conditions are satisfied in the relation R (CA×CB) between the elements of CA and CB concerning instance streams CA={ai,..., an} and CB {bj,..., bm} of two classes A and B generated by an object-oriented program, the first instance of a Facade object to access the elements of CA and the second instance of a Relationship object placed outside elements are determined so as to satisfy prescribed second and third conditions respectively and the relation R is managed by the second instance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
